Queen Angelfish
Years ago, a young woman asked me what my favourite fish was and after some deliberation, I answered "grouper" and explained that I loved their gentle-giant, curious character. She laughed. I think she had only ever thought of a fish as something to eat and I had not understood her question. She had no understanding of these wonderful creatures. I've attempted to capture their subtle characters as well as their colourful beauty in these portraits.
